Profire Energy Expands Distribution Channel With Gly-Tech

New U.S. Distributor of Profire's Burner Management Systems to Oil & Gas Industry

LINDON, Utah and EDMONTON, Alberta, June 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Profire Energy, Inc. (OTCBB:PFIE) today announced that Gly-Tech Services, Inc. has become a non-exclusive authorized distributor of Profire's burner management systems (BMS). Gly-Tech chose Profire Energy's systems after an extensive search because demonstrations showed they are safer, will reduce overall fuel costs, and give oil and gas producers the ability to more efficiently – and remotely – monitor equipment.

"Gly-Tech has provided process equipment solutions specializing in gas dehydration since 1987 and has distributed and installed other burner management systems, but they began to show significant operational design problems," said Rocky Buras, president of Louisiana-based Gly-Tech Services, Inc. "After extensive research and testing, we found Profire Energy. We have found the company's technology to be superior. In addition to being easy to use, the automatic relighting of the burners make them much safer, and producers can easily monitor their equipment from remote sites to ensure the burners are lit only when they are supposed to be."

The emphasis on safety, construction and operation of natural draft-fired heaters on oil and gas wells has increased within the last decade. This has resulted in the evolution – and acceleration – of burner management systems to help oil and natural gas producers with the safe and cost-efficient development and transportation of carbon-based fuels. Profire Energy's BMSs specifically:

  • Meet or exceed all relevant codes and standards
  • Easily install with clearly marked component I/O
  • Have easily accessible and removable terminal connections
  • Rapidly shut down on flame-out
  • Use DC voltage spark ignition
  • Accommodate solar panel or TEG applications with a low-power design
  • Enable auto-relight or manual operation
  • Include transient protected and fail-safe circuits

"This new relationship demonstrates the growing demand for burner management systems to automatically ignite and manage the combustion process safely and efficiently," said Brenton Hatch, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Profire Energy. "We're at a time of rapid growth and look forward to working with Gly-Tech and our other authorized distributors to help the oil and gas producers become more safe, productive and environmentally friendly."
