Profire Energy Inc. Adds James E. Solomon to Its Board of Advisors
LINDON, UT and EDMONTON, AB -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/06/11 -- Profire Energy, Inc. (OTCBB: PFIE) announced today the appointment of James E. Solomon, CPA, as the initial member of its newly formed Board of Advisors. Mr. Solomon brings wide-ranging business expertise to support and accelerate Profire's goals of penetrating the US market and adding to its strategic brain trust.
A successful businessman who has been involved in the development of several multi-million dollar operations, Mr. Solomon's extensive business and professional background includes board seats and executive positions with a number of public and private corporations, such as Nevada Chemicals, Mining Services International and Broadcast International, where he currently serves as CFO and Corporate Secretary. His expertise includes strategic development, international expansion, joint venture partnerships and mergers/acquisitions.
As an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Business of the University of Utah, he teaches strategy, marketing and entrepreneurship. Mr. Solomon held several management positions at Exxon Corporation from 1972 to 1980 and served as Vice President - Finance and Administration at Farm Management Company, one of the world's largest agricultural companies, from 1980 to 1983. Mr. Solomon graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah in 1972 and is a contributing author to a prominent accounting textbook.
